Frankly, I went from a One X to an SGS III exactly for this reason. However, I do miss the camera (the SGS III's is really nothing special) and the screen.
That's an interesting point. I didn't take that into account since I've never actually sold any of my older phones. They all end up in a box in the attic where I have kept every retired handset I had so far. Occasionally that makes my visitors very happy as they end up picking up a working (but old) handset for free
I don't suppose you have any other older phones you would like to sell or give away? I just need a working secondary handset, so i can use it for my UK sim.
I thinks I should have one or two unclaimed old phones lying around. I can give you one for free though I have to warn you that it is nothing fancy. Just a plain old phone good for making simple phone calls.
