Parking Engelberg

We're thinking of renting an apartment at the beginning of January for the extended family. But the apartment we've found only has one parking space, and we're taking two cars.

The apartment is near Klostermatte.

I know there is a car park there, but I don't know how much it is, nor if it's 24 hours. Any suggestions?

Last winter it was 10 per day IIRC, first come first serve.

No idea about overnight.

Call the tourist information

Turns out we can park at the railway station for 8 francs a day.

Overnight isn't allowed, which is a shame.

The local bus is free, certainly it services the train (P+R) and Brunni(Klostermatte) stations.

Take one car if you have to for personal belongings, and let the rest take the public transport.

Connection to Engelberg is good.

That was my plan... but the rest of the party said no. It's cheaper to pay for parking.

https://ch.parkopedia.com/ offers a nice interface where you can get to the info you need.

E.g. the parking next to Sporting-Park is 15chf for 24 hours; there are lots for 10chf too.
