PC Internet Browser scrolling

Also known as Pos1 on some german style keyboards.

I can't believe I'm trying to help omtatsat,

Well as I said I dont want a keyboard solution. I want a mouse point and click solution.

This home button on Chrome only takes me back to " start side "

That button is to bring you to your browser home page. You're trying to use a hammer and wondering why the bolt doesn't tighten.

There is the perfect tool available on your keyboard, try using it.

No its not the perfect tool. One scrolls using the mouse and its much quicker with just using one click of the mouse to get back to the top of the page.

But of couse these web developers dont want to make it easy. They want one to see as many ads as possible as one scrolls back to the top!

No, I did not build anything either.

It is built into the system. And yes it is on the keyboard. You did not previously state that you specifically wanted a non-keyboard solution.

It is only a matter of time before it becomes voice controlled.

I'll write you a set of instructions.

1-Raise your withered claw from mouse

2-Extend a single talon of your choice on your right claw

3-Use extended talon to press home button on keyboard

4-Return leathery appendage to mouse.

5-Continue posting rubbish on the internet.

There are a second set of instructions which might work but will certainly bring some people joy.

1-Place keyboard on solid surface

2-Pound skull into the keyboard, aim for the home key

3-Check monitor to see is the "home" of the webpage is reached

4-Repeat 2 until home key is pressed.

NOTE: Use of your nose as a pointer is advised, forehead is far to thick to achieve satisfactory results.

A compromise is to use the scroll bar. You need only one click and a bit of mouse movement, and you are on top of the page.

Unacceptable. Now I know why Steve Jobs almost went crazy!!

What do you mean almost ?

I mean he really got pissed off!

By what?

Well there were times he wanted solutions and got nothing.

A lot of people experience this in life.

Looking for a solution where one already exists is a bit pointless though. Scrolling takes nearly no time, hold the scroll wheel and move it updwards takes less time. Pressing the home button means removing your hand for a second.

If you want to feel super special, program any special mouse button you have to act as the home key.

Of course those who are bald dont have this problem! No hair to pull out!

Then they pull hair out from another part of their bodies.

Thanks but I gave up on this. The function of scroll to top ( jump to top ) should automatically be part of every browser or every web page.
