Not if receiving a Swiss pension, it would be rather difficult to cancel unless you could prove you were resident in a country where you do not need to pay Swiss Health Insurance.

Nothing new. This guy did it for his whole life.

The problem is less the climate than the permit. Tiny homes, permanent campsites and house-boats are all tightly controlled with a lack of availability. So whereas these things are booming in other countries there is a dearth of spaces here.

Maybe not specifically cruising, but during the pandemic there were stories of nomad couples and families that got stranded in countries due to closed borders and not having a fixed residence. I am not sure how all of those worked out.

I can’t imagine choosing to live on a cruise ship full time. Traveling around a lot via various means for a while? That could be appealing. But only for a time. I like having a “home” base.
