Permit B, Blue Card

Hello,

I have a question regarding Permit B. Originally I come from non-EU country, but I am in possession of blue card.

will the fact that I have a blue card speed up a process during the application? and do you maybe know what are the waiting times for Permit B in Zurich (April 2022).

No, the Blue Card makes no difference. Switzerland does not recognise the Blue Card.

I had never heard of a "Blue Card" and my ignorant ass of a mind automatically read it as Green card (the US one).

I learn something new everyday, all thanks to EF.

Like the previous posters, I have no idea what a blue card is (will google).

Edit: Oh, I see. Much like many Americans are unaware of the complexities of getting to the green card stage, this EU citizen has never heard of the blue card. I don't think Swiss authorities take into account anything but your citizenship when you apply, but who knows.

I only learned here through EF what a blue card is. And no, it has no impact for the application process in Switzerland.
