c'mmon, Yubikey security key costs ~25 chf. They also have NFC, so you can authenticate yourself on a mobile device. You want at least two of them immediately. Forget the other 2FA means, especially SMS
Tell that to any medical provider...
The most annoying is in the UK, where they expect you to provide the mobile that you registered with your GP xx years ago with.
If you don't have it, you need to go back to your GP, and ask them to update their records. Then wait a few weeks before you can see your test results.
Well I am not sure how it would work with insurances for example, where they send you SMS. How is the Yubikey going to help?
Anyway, I have decided for a period of time to stop answering to calls from numbers I do not recognize, which is kind of difficult if you have a very young child who is not always at home. I have noticed that the calls come in waves, for example in one day I get 30 calls, the next day I get only 2 or 3.... Let's see if the situation improves.
Someone calling about your kid is going to leave a message. A cold-caller or spammer won’t.
some providers (insurance and banks) only support SMS unfortunately. I do agree Yubikey is a very secure alternative where possible
