Pregnant with twins!

Congrats and welcome to the Twins club. There are special groups and services for multiple birth mums - just search for Zwillinge.

While I wouldn't swap our twins for anything, I wouldn't wish twins on my worst enemy .

Don't worry, though, only the first 15 years are stressful. Then it gets worse .

I am a parent and I will say a mix of these... for the first year, poor you For all the years to come, they can play together. Now that mine is two I wish I would have had twins. Then I would be almost done having kids! (Or done depending on how many you want) It will be hard for the first few months, but babies are so sweet and wonderful, it will fly by twice as fast with twice the work to be done! Congratulations, and as I don't know any Moms-to-be get togethers let me know when you (and when your hubby can handle it) are ready for a night out with the girls/mums!

my dear friend Janet Brot is very involved in all things regarding mutiple magic she's got twins herself and writes a regular column in the parenting magazine THE NEW STORK TIMES ( www.thestork.ch ) on the very subject and she also runs a yahoo group for parents with twins. I'll see to get her permission to forward her details to you in a Pm.

Oh and before i forget it ...congratulations to your good news

Congratulations!

Despite the best intentions of parents of singles or multiple kids who like to give you advice and share their experience, having twins is just different. Do seek out other twin parents and try to learn as much as they can from their experience. The above is a good place to start.

Woooooow !! Congratulations !! I will be marrying soon, and I wish to have twins too !!

Your blessed !!

You should join the yahoo group "Expat Moms in Switzerland"...

They have meet-up groups, baby equipment for sale and lots more.

http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/Expat-Moms-In-Switzerland/?v=1&t=directory&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=dir&slk=2

This group is for those Expat Moms living in or moving to Switzerland who want to converse with others in a similar situation.

Hopefully you will find this to be a place of support for parenting and personal adjustment issues.

Moms-to-be, Dads and Grandparents are also welcome!

This list was started to be a support place for families living in or moving in to Switzerland. Everyone is welcome on this list as long as they treat the others here respectfully.

Be carful what you say SweeBen, your wish may come true.

Congratulations!! We went to the parent preparation workshop at BIRTHLIGHT, it is pretty good. Otherwise, I heard the University Hospital also has a very nice english course. You can always ring them up and ask. For the moment, have lots of rest!

I'm also pregnant with twins - but don't know how the system works either.

Happy to meet up for a cup of tea though. Just let me know if you fancy it.

Hey I have non identical twin girls almost 2years old. I can recommend you twin stroller TFK ( www.buggy.de ).

Enjoy your pregnancy time, because after birth you will be very busy I used to look after for my girls alone for some time while my husband was assigned a project in London....and I can tell you that:

The less you get help, the more childred listen to you.

Well, I am a parent and grand-parent (although never of twins) and I say

BRAVO - enjoy. xx

A very good friend of mine had ... triplets, when her first baby was 18 months. Now she WAS BUSY, and survived to enjoy it all.

Don't have any useful advice as such, but congratulations!

Get lots of rest and enjoy your pregnancy!
