I couldn't figure out a way to replace it with new one as the ringing button stops me from sliding it out and it seems there's no way to just remove it from other direction.
Anyway know how to do it?
The name plate at our place looks like this:
Does the rubber switch cover pull off?
If not, can you take the whole face plate off (not clear whether you tried that), leaving just the switch button, and then slide out the name plate.
I tried to unscrew all screws as shown in the photos (all four of them) but somehow the whole plate is still tightly fixed to the wall.
Could be that it was removed for painting and put back on before the paint was dry. Or someone used some silicone as well. Do you have a Hauswart? Or can you ask the landord? Or send a pic to the manufacturer and ask for instructions.
Will it slide if you press the button fully? Noisy but might work. Otherwise ask the Regie/Concierge to fix it. In meantime stick a piece of paper with your name over it.
Ask your landlord/housekeeper - or ask the neighbours who have the same one if they know how it's done...

You probably need a special "key", see this manual on page 4/8.
You could also send your photo of the door plate to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and confirm whether you need a key.
They are in Au/Wädenswil and have been really helpful when I've asked for information in the past.

Contacted them and here's the response:
"Sie müssen auf der Hinterseite die Platine lösen, dann könnenSie das Namensschild rausziehen.
Zu dieser Anlage gibt es gar keine Ersatzteile mehr, auch keine Namensschilder."
Seems to me I need to use stronger force to remove the whole board, I'm concerned I could break it if I try really hard.

Rene Koch AG told me that I need to remove the whole plate but they didn't explain how to do that in details.
Have you tried wiggling it and pulling at the same time?
Just because Koch asked you to pull it harder, doesn't mean you should.
Can you slide the thing upwards (or sideways, or rotate)?
That said, your new nameplate won't fit entirely anyway as it has no bellbutton hole. Whether width and thickness match is yet to be seen, too. A pragmatic alternative might be to to glue the new nameplate onto the old. Or maybe, if you're not sure you can live with it, start with a sticky strip.
I would still ask the concierge. He could have a cousin who can give you a cut rate on a replacement plate ...
I suppose you could get your own name changed to match the one on the existing plate.
It is a solution.
Much easier done with your official gender than your name.

It probably hasn't been removed in years. If you don't want to try tugging at it, put a label over the existing name.
