Problems with Digitec

I purchased a new Samsung 40" inch LED screen a few days ago from Digitec. Now it turns out it has 1 faulty defective (green) pixel. Not that much of a big deal, it's in the bottom right corner. But still, I can't stand it, once you know it's there...

I contacted Digitec by email asking them what the return policy is on this issue, and their reply was no return for this, it's within the range of tolerance defined by Samsung.

That's it? I can't do anything else? I paid with a credit-card.

I thought in 2013 that problem with defective pixels would have been solved by now.

Note to self: next time you buy a new TV, check the dead-pixel-policy first.

You might wish to ask your card issuer about a chargeback.

Unfortunately, if it meets the defective pixel tolerance, there is not much you can do. One option you have, is to check exactly what Samsung has for pixel policy and compare it to your TV.

Yes, it is disturbing. I feel for you. But stop-payment on your credit card may just be more trouble than it is worth.

In the mean time, have any white-out?
