I completely gave up on Sunrise due to poor signal in my neck of the woods and dropped calls on long distance train journeys and more rural areas. So I just jumped on a Wingo Red Pro deal for CHF 27 a month on the Swisscom network, with unlimited 5G data in Switzerland and 20GB roaming in most of Europe (inc. UK).
Wingo is the budget arm of Swisscom, so its not exactly a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) like most of these other companies. What makes me laugh though is that one way to try and show they are budget (and not cannabilise their premium base) is by not having English as an option on their website, app etc.. but to all intents and purposes you are a Swisscom customer with the same level of cellular service.
Salt and Sunrise have announced that they will join their networks, in particular to improve signal quality in rural areas (primarily of course to save on costs).

That leaves about 14 for the main part of the offer. At most: QoQa doesn’t cashback the entirety of its share so the remainder for Sunrise must be even less than that.

The focus of their sharing agreement will be rural and lower-density areas, so its not going to be a merging of their entire network capacities. For me the issue is mainly intercity rail journeys and my neck of Zug being poor. I’m right in the middle of town so I should be getting 5 bars rather than just 2-3.
If you want the sunrise network go Digital Republic. Best deal in town. IMO!
I am quite happy with a Talk talk (Sunrise network) deal 13Fr a month (signed up some years ago) unlimited calls and data within Switzerland which meets most of my needs. I just have to work out the best roaming options when abroad. On a technical note: why do some (ie my) phones not accept an esim when I would have thought that is an operating system issue?

The Moblie L is a nice deal, but in 2 years it’ll be about to change to ridiculous price so you’ll be on the scout for a deal again
Thanks to a tip here I have a “lifetime” f20 monthly discount from my provider so, ATM, I am paying f10 a month. If they put the base price up too much I’m sure I can find something else without too much hassle.
I can’t find it currently on their page, so I don’t know if it includes calling from CH to EU, but by any chance have you already called abroad? I’m curious if they setup a real phone call, not just cheat like sunrise by offloading the traffic through internet getting out in some cheap EU country on a random number. I once took the “have it all” sunrise deal, but it was useless, nobody in EU would pick up my call from CH because these phone numbers it was going out in EU were always flagged as spam, besides the reason to have a phone number is that the recipient can see you’re calling…
