Just found this and thought I would share…
@bowlie turned EF on to Radio Garden years ago; I listen to Bay Area jazz stations and some other weird and wonderful stations around the world. I’m grateful.
It´s almost like back in the day twiddling the knobs on the wireless on shortwave along the scale to the 49m band and above. Late at night when the African and Asian stations come through listening to the strange music and languages I could not understand.
Made notes where a strong station was and waited for the full hour and the news, hoping for a hint of where the transmitter is.
Well as usual for most nights nowadays the shipping forecast sends me to bed, a hot water bottle and a nip of sherry and Slammer is done for the day.
Good night everybody.
How neat is that! Thanks for sharing.
Hey, it’s a really cool toy!
I’m glad it takes your mind off the nuclear winter…
Well, we can follow the nuke on flightradar (who cares they collect our private infos at that stage) and listen in on the cool toy what last song every radio-station in each country on it’s way was playing until … it hits us.
I hope the last song on the last Swiss radio station will not be something silly like “Swiss Lady” by Pepe Lienhard
That would be my song of choice.
That’s rather nerdy. Yeee-haw!
