RAV and 'Selbständig'

I am about to become unemployed at a company I'm working for in the next couple of months.

I have been getting some "Selbständig" income on the side for a couple of years. A lot lower than my salary though.

Does anybody know how this might affect my RAV unemployment benefits until I find a job?

Thanks!

It appears that you are self-employed as a secondary activity. The below would then likely apply (translated from the link below):

"Self-employed secondary income

As the name suggests, this type of earnings is carried out in addition to employment. As a result, self-employment does not usually take place during normal working hours, but outside of them. If you were already working in this capacity before you became unemployed and you continue to work in the same capacity, you do not have to declare your self-employment as interim income to the unemployment insurance fund (ALK). However, it is obligatory to report the self-employed additional earnings to the unemployment insurance fund (ALK) when the unemployment becomes effective. If self-employment is extended, e.g., due to unemployment, the additional income must be reported to the ALK as interim income.

Outside the usual working hours

Report to the ALK at the beginning of the unemployment period

To the same extent: do not account as interim earnings to the ALK

Extension of self-employment: report as interim earnings to ALK"

That was very useful. Thanks!
