Recycling Shredded Paper?

Velcro is a great invention!

Same here.

As I understand it, collected shredded paper and cardboard is used to make Basler Läckerli.

We are very environment conscious and everything is done online-no paper work here

I don't like it either that it's not being taken with the paper-collection (and it doesn't make sense to me neither) but there has been times they moaned that due to all the waste segregation they have problems burning the rest.

So I think of that when ever I put it in the normal trash

And yes, it does fill out the corners of the bag nicely.

Can not old paper shredder strips be given in any form of waste paper collection?

We have to make a distinction: the household collection (collection that the municipality carries out for households and small businesses) can not be given shredded waste paper (which must be stored in any container or sack). It would be too costly to transport these containers together with the paper bundles, to separate and empty afterwards. If, on the other hand, operations or archive evictions incur large amounts of files, it may be sensible to request a specialized service provider (shredder) to do this, which will provide special containers, if necessary take over the shredding and take over the transport. However, in this case we are talking about a collection of offices and administrations

I have no problem taking it to the recycling centre. But there is always a big debate as to whether it goes in paper or cardboard.
