Register Marriage

Dear All,

Can you register marriage after 2 years at Gemeinde ?

Hello and welcome to the forum. If your profile name is your real name, I suggest you contact one of the moderators and ask them to change it, because this forum is fully public.

As to your question, if the marriage was entered into within Switzerland, then the Gemeinde already knows about it. if it was from outside Switzerland then, probably, the best place to ask is at your Gemeinde. They (or the immigration authorities) may need you to supply extra documentation if both spouses are not already residing in Switzerland or entitled to do so, and you now wish to apply for family reunification.

Dear doropfiz,

it is my real name but Daniel is my 2nd given name, thank you to point out.

Well the marriage happened outside of Switzerland but we both living in Switzerland but did not report back at that time the marriage. Since a baby is coming and to admit the baby require documents about civilstand, is there any consequences to change marital status in gemeinde after 2 years?

In that case, I recommend you do go ahead with getting your marriage registered now, ideally before the baby is born. Oh, and congratulations on becoming parents!

Thank you for your reply. will that come with penalty?

Did you fill tax declarations for the last 2 years or are you not required to with your permit?

If you did fill, did you put that you're married?

No, that comes later, anything between 7-10 years down the line -

No with B permit its automatically deducted and it was below 120k annual somi never had done any tax declaration form the past 5 years.

Did your partner have any income abroad? Then you should have added the amount for the calculation of the tax rate.

my partner was on rav for 1 year then started a very low salary job in Liechteinstein not in Switzerland.
