Religious discrimination by SWISS.

I get that anyway, cold or not. Once, coming into Tampere, I was nearly chewing the seat in front of me to relieve the pain in my ears when there was a rather loud and painful crack. The pressure was relieved, but that evening, I sneezed and a load of congealed blood came out. Cheerful.

But I was rather thinking of the risk of infecting other people with a not-too-cheerful illness. Assuming they had proper 'flu, that is.

Errr, no.

Apparently, this is in line with IATA. A cold is one thing, but influenza makes you really rather ill, no?

Please, please don't give them any ideas!! They make it difficult enough to get to the plane without having to submit to a health examination.

"Please remove your shoes, your jacket and your belt. Please also lift your shirt and take off your trousers. Please cough while I listen to your chest and stick this thermometer where the sun doesn't shine...."

No thanks...I'll take the crappy meal

But I DON'T want a halal/kosher meal since I am not of those religions. Why should some passengers get a MUCH better meal then others. Think if it was the other way round. Don't you think the muslims would have kept quiet?

The stewardesses were actually apologizing to passengers and some of the passengers had a verbal altercation with the flight crew about the food. Yeah...

Besides I didn't know in advance that the food will be that bad that I would have to request something else. The flight crew claimed that what they served to us was all that they could do... Yet they were able to do a whole lot more for the muslims.

A little side story. Whenever flying out of Zurich, always order a kosher meal, since they the airline buys it from the best kosher restaurant in Zurich. Another case of when the minority gets a better deal then the majority.

Yeah, that has blunted my rant quiet a bit... especially all the chikas... imagine how I was ****ed before Cuba.

Oh, yeah. I was almost bumped off the flight due to it being overstuffed (oversold) with the people coming back from worshipping their invisible friend. I got literally the last seat despite being WAY in advance of the flight, knowing the propensity of the Swiss rail to be habitually late. It would have ruined my holiday, since I needed to be in T.O to catch my charter.

When you come down with a flu the first day of your vacation... you'll know.

Perhaps the minority had organised something as opposed to the take-what-comes majority? What are your alternative proposals? A communist airline?

Oh and BTW, you don't need to be jewish or muslim to enjoy kosher or halal in the same way that you don't need to be Japanese to enjoy sushi.

You have an attitude problem and the idea of shouting and threatening a law suit is laughable. Go ahead, don't be surprised if Swiss don't actually give a rat's arse

Look at it this way CD, after all the excess food etc of the last few days think of it as a kind of enforced diet before you start partying in Cuba

Just imagine all the 2 million people in mecca and all the nasty deseases that many carry. Those people should have been in quarantine first.

When Mr Organ was in hospital (UK) he always went for the halal option because it was so much tastier.

But sushi is NOT a religious meal, kosher/halal are. I am an atheist and I DON'T want religion to be shoved down my throat.

I thought we were talking about food here.

Well, I am back already to musty ol' Switzerland. After North America feels like stepping back to 19th century.

And A heathen sir.

Some people think that their invisible friends want them to prepare the food in a certain ritual way, hence kosher/halal is NOT a type of cuisine but an obligation of their religion.

If I should be ok with eating halal... how come muslims are not required to be ok with eating regular food?

Canadian_dude, I don't know what you are going down with, but it isn't the flu. Seriously, are you smoking something you shouldn't be? Are you on the verge of burnout? You should really see someone. I have never seen anyone get their knickers in so much of a knot about something so insignificant. The airline is supposed to fly you from A to B. It doesn't say anything in the contract of carriage about feeding you well, or even feeding you at all come to that.

I'm not Muslim, but I find some of your comments directed at Muslims to be in poor taste and if I said bordeline offensive then I am being kind.

For pete's sake, sing a few bars of "That's life" and move on.....

Some people spread their bum cheeks when bent over and smile and say "sorry" when somebody steps on their foot.

I am not one of them.

Get a life
