Renting for my remaining 2 months

Hello everyone,

I am leaving my apartment at the end of the month. Moreover, I will stop working and leave Switzerland at the end of the year.

As I am currently on a B permit, is it mandatory to rent another place for my remaining two months ? Would it affect my residence permit if I didn't ?

What's your plan for the remaining 2 months? Staying in an Air B&B or with a friend, for example, won't affect your permit.

I will be mostly traveling and staying at friends' places for the few days I will be back. I will also redirect my mail to one of them.

The real question is if I would need to register a new address in this case ?

Yes. All residents of Switzerland are obliged ot have an address at which they are registered.

If you can, officially register at your friends place for 2 months.

I can see one problem and this has happen to me: If you do not have a permanent address - your bank can block your credit cards and access to you account. Inform your bank about the address change.
