Restaurants (Lausanne)

Possibly. I think I have a spare one of those in my cave...

a great greek restaurante close to the train station (10 min walk) is Lyrique

http://www.bonresto.ch/web/detail_et...nt.asp?id=2643

also close to Lyrique there are a couple of Lebanese restaurantes that are quite good: Beirut and Oh Liban! (more for takeaway)

you can also use the restaurante guide which allows to search by type of food, price, location, rating, etc

Lyric is very good. My favorite restaurant in Lausanne is right next door at Au Chat Noir. YUM! )

also, down the street from les allies is the tramway- delicious, a bit pricey but worth it if you want really nice staff, excellent food. desserts are good too.

also, the thai place in grancy- sorry to disorganized for address but it's off blvd d'ouchy, called phuket, i think- good thai food.

we like to do get togethers for hungry people (we have a lot of friends who 'happen' to show up ) so if you wanna do a dinner night- let me know. we can do a bring a dish kinda thing.

oh wonderful so how about a dinner date once a month and try different cuisines around Nyon, Lausanne and Vevey ?

Or who would be interested in a Sunday brunch at the Café de Grancy in Lausanne ?

Me! But only when I come back.

I used to LOVE doing Thursday Night Dinners. We would try a new restaurant one Thursday a month.

Count me in too

bump bump....

That makes 3 of us

Seriously y'all, who's interested in meeting up in Suisse Romande ?

I'd be up for meeting new people and eating good food.

me tooooo~

This is a nice resraurant with good service, but I found the food boring and expensive,

Au Canard Pékinois (Chinese)

Place Chauderon 16

1003 Lausanne, Switzerland

021 329 03 23

yes- i know. i will never understand why chinese food here is soooo expensive.

Great idea! There are some in Nyon, fo sho...New Indian one opening soon, hurray.

I would definitely be interested in a regular dinner date in the area!

So did we ever decide to do try this? Sunday's good for me if anyone else is up for a big group thing.

@nicole89m I've been meaning to try the holy cow if you're in the mood for burgers...

Anyone with some good advice on Ethiopian/Eritrean restos in Lausanne?

abyssinia on rue valentin is great- there is the sister resto- addis right across the street. great food and really nice owners. enjoy!

Thanks...Read about Red Sea as well

Sent from my Galaxy S2

Red Sea turned out to be pretty good although not very impressive portions...Reasonably priced, authentic and very lowkey ambiance - this has no vibe like say Blue Nile (but better food)

Hi

Coming from South Africa where the food is fantastic, I find it very hard to find a decent restaurant here.

A nice restaurant is called Bazzart. It's near Chauderon on Rue de France.
