Running/elliptical trainer shoes

I also have had a severe problem with my knees. I basically couldn't run more than few hundred meters on a hard surface. I started looking for the shoes that could help me.

But instead I ended up changing the running technique that looks more like runnning barefoot, and it works wonders.

so to give feedback. I got Asics 3030, and am very happy with them. Can do now crosstrainer on settings upper than before without pain in knees/hip.
