Quite hard to know the similar purchasing power if the largest expense in the budget is unknown: rent. So, how are you expecting to live? Apartment, single home? City center, outside city center with commute, or in a really desirable part of the city where all cool people lives? What is an acceptable commute time?
From that we get to a monthly and divide by 0.3 to get to an income after taxes by following the thumb rule that 1/3 of your income goes to rent.
That answers the question of "if I want to afford to live like X, I need to earn Y" after taxes.
this is a very rough guide, but several times I was approached for exactly the Same global role I was in, but for companies based in Paris. I was offered 50% of my Swiss gross salary. in other words, double your Paris gross salary, as a guide.
THEN look at rent prices in Switzerland.
