Security incident with SwissPass?

It's probably nothing but I just want to see if anyone else had something similar happening...

This morning I received two consecurive SMS by "SwissPass" (the associated number for me was 0794777277) of the form "Ihre Verifikationscode..." blahbla. Clearly it was not me registering or accessing an account on SwissPass. I tried in vain to get a hold of their customer service (maaan it looks like after Covid it's become impossible to reach a customer service phone number in Switzerland).

So, what's this? Someone tried to register an account using my phone number? Or?

Could also be fake, it's very easy to send fake SMSs and make them appear from whatever number hackers want to use. Then source number doesn't mean anything

Don't click on any link in the message and just get in touch with contact customer services by calling them directly.

Probably nothing happened. The objective of the scam is to worry you and induced you to click a link or call a number. Don't do that.

Could be some fat-fingered person keyed in your number in error - digits reversed etc...

Not fat fingered but recently did that with the ZVV app and will have worried someone 2 times before realizing I had put in the wrong number....
