I am planning to import fresh fruits and vegetables from India. After clearing the goods am I allowed to sell them from apartment?

I would have thought that it would be so obvious that this would not be allowed.

The phytosanitary regulations will kill you before you get anywhere near your home !

Your apartment rental contract quite probably says “rental property must be used exclusively for residential purposes”.

But, here I am breaking the contract by doing home office

One point here is not disturbing neighbors, as long as I don’t type too loudly and don’t get mad during phone calls (I try ) it’s OK.

But, selling stuff means people going up and down the stairs, and strangers entering the building. If neighbors and landlord agree, this may work, but it’s chasing a unicorn. So, basically not possible.

You can certainly sell them online from home, but having cleared all the import and sanitary hurdles, you'll need to keep them stored in an approved temperature controlled warehouse and despatch them from there.

I'm not sure if and how you'll make money from this, especially bearing in mind the short shelf life of many f and v's, but good luck anyway.
