Shipping to Canada without duties/taxes

Hi all,

My wife and I are going to be leaving Switzerland to go back to Canada (Calgary area).

We have about 20 boxes of stuff and looks like Swiss Post is the cheapest option to send things back home (about 137 CHF for a 25kg box).

My question is: how do I ship things home without paying duties or taxes on items I already own?

Most countries have some kind of exemption for your (used) personal effects when moving country, including Canada. Procedures and products differ slightly but most personal effects incur no duties.
