I now should show up at the Gemeinde (Kreisburo) to register. However when I see the required docs. I see the KVG insurance. So that means first I should go to CSS first and then bring a proof?
Can I go to the gemeinde on behslf of my wife and the child as well? Or should they be present as well?

You have 3 months to choose your insurance. You don’t have to take it now, you can show them later. You should take your family with you.
How about the German test? Are they going to give us a deadline to bring the result? We are on L permit.
I think the family reunification language requirement is only for a B/C permits. But if you plan to stay here, may aswell get it as soon as possible.

For health insurance you do not have 3 months if you move within Switzerland, you must change address also ASAP. Do not forget to change the address elsewhere such as at the cantons road office.
I think the OP used Kreisburo in error (not realising that is only in Zürich). They are just arriving into the country and living in Bern.

Also, if OP has just arrived then the spouse being registered in a German class should be sufficient.
