Hello. Anyone know where you can go ice skating year round in Switzerland? Ideally in the Zurich or Lucerne area.
I know there is an ice skating rink in Wetzikon that I believe is open year-round because my friend's daughter trains there. (Wetzikon is a roughly 20 minute train ride from Zurich). I believe the name is Kunsteisbahn Wetzikon.
I think there is also one in Oerlikon, which is closer to Zurich. (Kunsteisbahn Oerlikon).
I’ve played ice hockey in these places in summer in the last years:
- Wetzikon
- Bäretswil (which is 10 minutes away from Wetzikon)
- Eiszentrum Luzern ( https://www.eiszentrum.ch/de/%C3%B6f…r%C3%BChherbst )
Your best bet is probably Luzern if that’s not too far. As far as I know Wetzikon/Bäretswil are booked for figure skating practice most of the time.
