Solar panels and heat pumps

I've had 3 companies come to my house to give me a quote for solar panels and a heat pump. Our house is heated by gas, and that worries me with the Russian activities.

Every one of them has come, spent an hour with us, collecting information, then say they will come back within a fortnight, and that's the last we hear.

Can anyone recommend a company for Valais that will actually follow up with a quote and installation? I feel if I have to chase them over a quote, then the installation is likely to be problematic also.

Sorry to say, they are extremely busy right now and I guess depending on the questions you ask and how it all comes across, may influence their decision to rush with an offer or not.

Maybe show you have finance in place and state clearly you want to go ahead ASAP ?

Also, you can do it the other way around. For example you can call Tobler (heat pump that I use, https://www.meiertobler.ch/ ) Helpdesk and tell them that you want to install a heat pump and need a contractor in your area which is approved by the company. By this way, if they call the company to come to you, you can be sure that they will come and quote

They are obviously very busy with the current state of the market. Send them a reminder.

I understand that currently there is more than 12 months’ wait on installing PV panels.

Wood is also in high demand...
