I see tons of adverts in the 2nd hand market for solar panels. Any idea why so many would be for sale? I would have thought people would install them and just leave them be.

Old ones are around 100w output, new ones around 400w output
Someone posted not that long ago about Zürich Elektrizitätswerk (power provider) about their subsidies for balcony systems, IIRC it amounts to some 50% rebate.
Maybe some people abuse it and use the increased demand to make a quick riskless buck.
