What are the chances that I will be eligible for a family reunion permit...I will keep this short for privacy issues. I am a 21y/o non- EU national. I haven't lived in Switzerland before. My dad happens to be a naturalized Swiss citizen. When I was born he wasn't a Swiss citizen yet...I never grew up with him. In short let's say he discovered 21 years later that I am his BIOLOGICAL kid. We both made the decision that we wanna live together. I am currently totally financially dependent on him. I already made the visa application but I'm quite anxious about the outcome...It beats my head that a national can marry a total stranger regardless of age and reunite under marriage permit but he/she can't reunite with their biological kids simply because of age limits
Well, the Swiss consider you an adult and able to look after yourself so I doubt it’s going to be possible. Maybe the financial dependency might count for something, maybe not.
