Bit of a niche topic, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience in terms of starting a Verein (in this case I would be interested in football but I assume the process is the same for any sports club)? Or has anyone been involved in local football clubs (3. Liga and bellow)?
Why would you want to start a new one?
You're basically guaranteed to have one already. Provided the town is big enough to produce enough active members, otherwise it's unlikely worth the effort.
Yep, never mind starting a turf war between the locals and the foreigners. Would not go down too well when applying for citizenship either....
