Subletting whilw living in another apartment

Hi all,

I live in ZH and have a B permit.

The next month I will move with my girlfriend to a new place in ZH, but because of work and short time, I decided to subrent my current flat (where I was living alone).

Of course I have already informed the current Verwaltung and they agreed on that, but I was wondering if there is any issue I am not aware of if I move my address to a new one in the same city and I have as a matter of facts two flats.

Note that I will not charge more than necessary for the old one, so I will not earn anything from the sublet.

Any experience?

was in the exact same situation a few months ago (changed geminde to boot).

still am renting both flats and subletting one.

no issues whatsover.

make sure your post and admin is registered on your new address.

I did it a few times when travelling for longer periods and it worked well. Just make sure to get a proper Mietkaution (and deposit it in an account for that), a documented moving in/out protocol and a contract.
