Just relax and have a great day!!
This is not a response to your question, but I just have to say that you made me hungry. Now I can't stop thinking about lamb burgers and cupcakes.
Etiquette is just someone with a very strong French accent saying that they ate a cat. So take one along for the BBQ.
Perhaps take along a speciality of your own country. Failing that a nice bottle of plonk and some choccies.
Cheers,
Nick
We usually bring salad and sometimes a dessert. I think customs are the same here as they're in the UK in this respect.
Noting the recipe for the lamb burgers. YUM.
I hope the BBQ went well - and I am sure your cupcakes were a hit!
I usually turn up empty handed. My mere presence is more than enough for most hosts.
Report back on the BBQ:
Brought very good bottle of wine and a display of coloured cupcakes. Both were received well.
Standby meat left in the fridge remained in the fridge.
Hosts were fabulous, food was fabulous and company, well fabulous too.
Am now sunburnt (typically English), tipsy (thanks to some shot of local tipple) and tired. Just back now.
Hi
Only in Zurich a few weeks and our very kind neighbours invited us to a house party and BBQ but i am just wondering does anybody know what do you bring to a BBQ in Switzerland, food?, Drink?
If anyone can help that would be great
