Nonsense, she knows she’s safe despite (probably) some comments on her social media account which will make her very popular among certain types…but (probably) her real life social circle will be much thinner now.

Again, what do you think it will happen? Charlie Hebdo mocked Christians too, btw. In fact they have been far more critical than with anyone else. Catholic organisations have sued the magazine many many times.

haha, I was an idiot teenager that provoked people for shits and giggles and hanged out with other teenagers with the same vibe. Years fly by and I’ve seen some consequences. Provoking is not a game…ahhhh I’m boring adult

That’s the reason I originally posted on the stabbings thread. But now we’re in a new thread.
Anyway, it’s not holy war, it’s only revenge against an individual. Also consider Switzerland has lots of immigrants and refugees who may not take it as chill as the local Christians.

Oh yes, she’s a hero to some. And a vicious bimbo to others, which is her right. 
What she did doesn’t make any sense given her personal circumstances; she was more than “appreciated” by the locals etc. her status was of a top politician (she didn’t honour that position but hey ho)
Seems like a senseless, vicious gesture she did out of spite…but for what or for whom? For the Swiss churchgoers? Many of whom have helped people like her all their lives - I know plenty of them btw.
I guess it’s hard to know her way of thinking.
Anyway, it is not our job to judge her. I think she got a lot of criticism for her brain fart, just let her be. Enough with the discussion about her - after all she’s just a still young woman. She has time to grow up.

And the final chapter arrived today.
The Bezirk Zürich court found Ms. Ameti guilty of disturbing the freedom of belief (criminal offense/ Straftatbestand).
It may be argued that a conviction like this one has no place in a secular state like Switzerland. But, if she got acquitted, this would embolden all the bad people around here to attack other people that happens to believe other things. Not good for peace.
Personally, I’m bothered as an atheist that someone like her calls herself Atheist. An atheist is just someone who does not believe in gods or whatever. But acting like an idiot in public on this (negative) belief goes far beyond atheism. It’s bigotry.
Switzerland has pros and cons, but at least they know how to keep peace.
The fallen angel left a goodbye note in my favorite alternative media from ZH. To be honest, it’s too cryptic and ambiguous. Playing rhetorical games and all that.

There was no more fitting death for her than being lynched by Biedermann while the arsonists applauded and Babette watched. Only this time the mirror had to be so large that even the most clueless village idiot could see it. This death was the consequence of refusing to live in an order at whose table there was never a place for me. The public disclosure of the shame associated with my origins was my liberation from self-deception.

Its no big deal but if you believe this Jesus and Mary fantasy then its like an attack on the beliefs. People are identified with their beliefs so this was seen as an attack on them.
