For 11chf per month, you get unlimited everything in Switzerland and 10gb in EU/UK/US. I looked at the conditions, and other than the fact that "unlimited" data in Switzerland is actually 40GB, I don't see any other catch. But it looks way too cheap to be true. Does anyone see something I am missing that could explain this low price? Or does someone have horrible experiences with them?
Wow - this is less than half of what I'm currently paying. Seems like a great deal!
I'm currently with Aldi Mobile and have lost reception a couple of times - can anyone who has used Talktalk (or I guess, Sunrise) for cell phones confirm if the network coverage is likely to be the same or better/worse?
Sunrise sucks. There's several threads on here... It's the reason I had to get a personal phone, as my company moved to sunrise and I couldn't keep dropping client calls.
I was with UPC and moved to TalkTalk for the XXL deal for 30 CHF and Young for 20 CHF for daughter. Absolute nightmare before finally porting over some weeks later. Overcharged, very poor customer service, submitted ID multiple times and the connection now is just about acceptable. I ended up writing a letter to the Customer Services Director for the Mobilezone Group which owns TalkTalk. We had a chat and he acknowledged it was a “poor customer experience”.
Don’t do it is my advice. You’ll pay for those savings...
If I do decide to sign up, perhaps someone could send me a recommendation via pm (I think I just need the mobile number according to https://www.talktalk.ch/en/mobile/friends.html ), so that we can both get 50chf?
Hmm ... I went to the talktalk website again, and it appears that they changed the 10GB/month abroad to 1GB/month.
Still a pretty good deal, but I am not very happy that the conditions can just change on a whim. I wonder if they would have honored the 10GB deal if someone signed up before the change, or simply said that there was a mistake and said take it or leave it.
This is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have proof of this? I got told its 1gb and it put me in a really shitty position. I know it's 10gb myself but they are point blank saying it was not...
Aldi mobile seems to use sunrise network but slightly quicker data speeds than talktalk if https://www.dschungelkompass.ch/ comparison of sunrise providers is to be believed. The talktalk offer is cheap as it gives European data as well but if your network coverage is no good then it probably isn’t worth it.
Coop basic looks a good option on offer on the Swisscom network with 8 gb a month and 50gb data to use which does not expire.
