My car has tinted windows. The rear one has certificate, but not the first two window. (those are only 'heat reflecting' foils) it's not 100% transparent.
Will it fail on the MFK? (I brought the car from my home land)

Which windows are tinted? The back passenger and the rear windows are allowed to be tinted pretty dark.
I doubt it will fail. They probably won't even notice.
The thing is that I have tinted 90% behind the B-pillar. That is OK. (with the certificate)
My problem is that I have a foil on A-pillar-B-pillar section (front passenger and driver side) that is not 100% transparent. Do they measure opacity? (I have about 10% on those)
What do you know about the lights? I have a BMW 1:er from 2008, so I am not worried about the exhaust part, neither the mechanical part. Someone told me that the head lights are set differently in CH. Is that true?
What is mandatory equipment? (reflective vest, triangle, CH sticker, first aid kit...?)

They never look at vest , triangle or first aid kit. No requirement for CH sticker in CH
Set differently how? They point right like every other mainland european country
Front windows must have a transmission of at least 70%
You only need a warning triangle. Art. 90 VTS .
CH-sticker, vest, replacement bulbs, and first aid kit are only needed aboard.
But all things may be handy if you have them allready on board.

The last time I brought it , I had the service a few days before , but this week I have to cancel the service as i have to go away that day. What is best- re organise test date or go and have it then have then have the garage simply fix the problems which suits me better, but do they frown on you if you take the car in without service , thanks
Service doesn't matter.
Just clean it, and take it in.

Thanks .. No doubt it has few problems but can't get them done by Tuesday now, has a problem on wipers ( only slow setting ) I brought once myself after a service and other times /cars I always had garage do it and take it so first time going on my own and unserviced lol will bring child as an old post suggests lol and it's at 7 am so maybe he be tired ha
As long as your tires aren't shagged, they will at worst give you a list of things to fix, and a new date.
Once had a guy who told me that my brake was spongy, but if I fixed it and brought it back by the end of the day he's pass me, so I did (needed to change the pads, it wasn't air in the lines).

I know this may be silly q to many , but by Clean do you mean just wash the car or do you mean clean the engine as I have seen suggested because this also would mean a trip to the garage that I cannot do before Tuesday
engine bay and underneath need to be clean, most garages can steam clean it for you (at a cost of course) most jet wash stations have a sign specifically telling you your not allowed to wash your engine or chassis there.
oil leaking from anywhere is a fail.
A jet wash 5 minutes before will often do the trick
Clean-ish, but steam cleaning is absolutely not necessary
That's about it, or of course any signs of oil leaking, old or new. So if you've got grungy old oil and caked up crap all over the engine, then yes, a steam clean may be worthwhile, but unless there are any actual signs thereof, I've never bothered.

I am expecting "invitations" for the MFK of my car & bike soon. As I will be changing my residence address (other city within the canton of ZH), I was wondering I am allowed to go for the test in the Strassenverkehrsamt in my "old" town?
