The age of consent in Switzerland

well this is about having sex legally, which for Switzerland is set at 16. So if she decides to go live with her boyfriend, this should be legal then no? unless they dont mind her boyfriend coming to their house and have sex there. what is there for the parents to forbid? ... actually you know what, I'm totally confused, I need to read and think it through to say something which makes sense here.

math nut u got the exact point

thats the real question

but law states

The age of consent in Switzerland is 16 , as specified by the Swiss Federal Criminal Code, Article 187(1).

Is that what is acceptable? Seems a rather womanly pont of view.

Nice fresh early 20's just what I'm looking for.

I thought +- 6 years OK.

Thanks

swisspea you are so rite

love dont count age, when u fall in love u dnt care abt age

... are you looking for a wingman/wingwoman too?

imo the best advice is to work it out with the parents, and also imo encouraging a 17 year old girl to leave home is a murky position to take.

I respect all the advices from you guys, but the question is what law states

if she moves with the guy, will law consider her minor or won't interfere ?

She is a minor until she's 18. She's legally able to sleep with you; she's not legally able to move in with you.

Sada, I think you may be getting confused with some of the euphemisms here. This is not about having sex. YES, they can legally have sex at this age. Parental consent has nothing to do with that, ever; it's either legal or it isn't, based solely on their ages.

This is about moving in together - she registers her new address at the Kreisbüro, he notifies his landlord there are now two people living in the apartment, etc. She's a minor so she has to have her parents' consent to do that.

if she moves without parental consent, what legal obligations will be faced ?

why age of consent in Switzerland is 16 , as specified by the Swiss Federal Criminal Code, Article 187(1).

where it is written she need permission untill she gets 18, there must be something documented...

what makes it illegal for her to move with her BF.. there must be something in written

Why don't you try looking through Google yourself instead of groaning members who are trying to help you in good faith?

Just to see a bit clearer here. Who are you exactly? Why does this concern you this much?

As MathNut has told you several times, 'age of consent' is the age when a minor can legally agree to have sexual relations with someone. This is not the same thing as emancipation.

Here is the information about the rights and duties of parents and minor children (sorry, it's in French, but you can use google translate if you don't speak it). It pretty much says that a minor (under 18) may not leave their place of residence without the parents' agreement.

See her perent , the will be glad to write it down for you .Somthing I don`t understand here why do the perent have to change the rules just for you plesur

From this site (in German):

Parents can file a report with the police, the minor will be considered a runaway and the police will begin a search. They can't arrest the runaway (so no handcuffs) but they are allowed to physically detain him or her (e.g. by grabbing an arm.)

No third party is allowed to shelter a runaway for more than one night. Everyone who shelters a runaway must - that day or the next - either report him to the police, turn him back out on the street so the police can find him, or hand him over to an attorney. An attorney may shelter a runaway with no legal guardian (e.g. a runaway orphan) for up to six months.

But perent do

why does it concern you so much that who i am ... ?

Thanks MathNut, this is what i was looking for ..

thanks for your help guys...

I was just wondering what your role in all this was and hope you won't get no one into trouble, that's all. Just a bit of a weird feeling I'm having, hence the question.
