The medical advantages of homeopathy

placebos DO NOT act...

you mean like acupuncture which is very effective and paid for by health insurance yet the processes or effects cannot be peer reviewed on a scientific level?

At least with acupuncture something is happening, you know, getting stuck with pins... if we were to blend acupuncture with homeopathy the needles would be made of air .

ehem...accupunture is a type of alternative medicine, homeopathy is a type of alternative medicine, but accupunture IS NOT the same as homeopathy, as my accupunturist has never asked me to drink pee

You're obviously going to the wrong acupuncturist then

Do all homeopathic practitioners advocate drinking your own pee? You don't have to follow their advice

but how do you know for sure that in all cases homeopathy doesn't work?

Cause its water.

if you think you're so smart (and sarcastic) why don't you try to address my point about acupunture and the lack of scientific peer review confirming its process and effects.

Oh I do not THINk I am smart, I know it Hence I do not need to prove it...And we are not discussing accupunture here, FFS we are not discussing anything. Watch video, smile go on with your life

Now, where do I begin...

Placebo Domingo did.

by watching the video?

how convenient.

My chiropractor uses homeopathics as part of his treatments. He has a technique of testing muscle strength to figure out what your body needs. The muscles will go strong/weak when I take different homeopathics to see what the issue is. I do not get to see what he's giving me (I just get a little test of the mixture). And, I feel a significant difference in muscle strength.

Also, I took a homeopathic mixture from a naturpath a few years ago. At the time I was having chronic nose bleeds. The blend she gave me was to help with some issues with my gall bladder, but it stopped my nosebleeds. I went back a couple weeks later and she asked a lot of questions and then asked about my nose bleeds. They had stopped and I hadn't really noticed. She mentioned that was a side effect of the homeopathics she gave me. It was not something told to me ahead of time, so it was not a placebo affect. Since then, I hardly ever have issues (which is huge since i was having 2-3 large ones a week at the time).

There will always be different views on medications and medical options. I believe there is a time and place for everything. If something that cannot harm you helps, then why not try it before taking a really powerful substance that has a large list of bad side effects that can cause even more issues?

Funny. On a side note, while typing this there were 2 commercials from law agencies trying to get people to sign up if they of their babies were injured by a prescription medication they had taken. :-/

Edit - I have to admit the video was quite funny and interesting. I just don't agree it's completely related to homeopathy

That video has nothing to do with Homeopathy.

Mods , Troll alert. Close the thread. Oh hang on a minute, a Mod is already posting here. I feel better already. Must be the Placebo affect. Mods and Placebo's quite harmless really, but in effect , quite powerful. I believe a mod will reply to this, wait and see. Placebo Mods. 2 better than one ?

Isn't it amazing how quickly "homeopathy" threads get turned into "alternative medicine" threads?

Isn't it even more amazing that it's always the pro-homeopathetics who do it?

Much as homeopathy has nothing to do with medicine really.

and...thank you
