We did regularly disinfect the stuff that went into the bath (anti-slip mats, bath toys) in an effort to reduce these opportunistic infections.
UK TV show Watchdog last night had a section about some nasty skin reactions to Piz Buin.
I was also given Linola Fett and I agree, it does not work.
I was then given Nutraplus and I use that more as a hand cream when I am out because restaurant soaps can be harsh.
However, last week it came to the point I couldn't sleep because I was itchy and started looking up herbal remedies. I kid you not, a little turmeric powder mixed with olive oil worked a treat. It has anti-inflammatory agents and I stopped itching and the oil soothed my skin. The only problem with this is that it stains like crazy! I am still on the look out for turmeric cream....
However, I have also found that 99% Aloe Vera Jelly (that I bought Muller Reformhaus Vital Shop) has been working wonders. I started using this yesterday and with regular applications and with a little bit of pure coconut oil also rubbed in I have not itched all day and finally got a decent sleep last night.

My daughter had a bad rash under her lip/chin which was looking quite raw for a few weeks and refused to go away. When I forgot to moisturize it with the emollient based cream one morning on the way to school, found Aldi hand cream in the car and used it.
The rash cleared up in a couple of days.
