Are contact details stored on the sim or the internal space ( speicher )
I bought a new handy which uses a nano sim. My old phone uses a micro sim. The problem is when I buy a new nano sim ( with same handy number )to replace the old micro sim the old sim card will be deaktivated and I wont be able to use it any longer. So I wont be able to transfer any settings etc.that were on the old sim. What can I do?
My provider offered me to do that (for money obviously)
Interdiscount will cut down your current SIM to the correct size if you want. The sales guy said you can do it yourself but they don't recommend it. They've got some special machine that's more precise than you are with a pair of scissors.
my new phone is HTC and they specifically advise not to do this
well i turned my old phone on without the sim card and all my contacts were there
I cut my SIM card myself with a cutter bought from Amazon.
If you use a Google account, all your contact details, dairy/agenda details will probably be backed up to the cloud and will automatically reappear as soon as you log-on on your new phone .... which is just as well, as I forget to disable my anti-theft app. and rendered my old Android phone unusable after I took the SIM out and put into a Windows phone - but all personal details self-installed via Google account.
