Yes. thank you. The best options are either revolut either transferwise.
with Revolut there is no commision for the transfer, BUT... you don't really know if there will be a intermediary bank that will charge something out from the transfer or not.. since it's a swift transfer. If my account is CHF and I want to send to us bank US.. they will convert at the mid market price , but who knows if the $sum the you see in the app... is actually the sum that arrives in the us account. What are your experiences with this? Did you ever have been charged by some intermediary bank.. any fees ?
Did you ever have been charged by intermediary bank.. transfering from CHF to USD ? thanks
I did never get an intermediary fee charged by Revolut and I don't think its a Swift transfer.
It shows up as a 'Auto S1 Credit' and all my ACH debits (e.g. from credit cards) show up as 'Auto S1 Debit' so I assume its ACH. Also when doing the setup in Revolut you enter the routing number and account number (e.g. on your US checks).
Looking at their web site it also states ACH and this is usually free with no intermediary bank.
After reading a few posts here on transfers, I opened a Transferwise account. My intention is to transfer from chf to my us etrade brokerage account.
Etrade has its own online transfer-funds tool. You can use this tool to link an external account (which worked) but transferring funds from Transferwise does not work. The problem I encountered was that Transferwise does not allow "pull" transfers and Etrade does not accept "push" transfers.
Anyone else have experience with this or something similar?
For what it's worth. I have an older capital one account from before they sold it to Etrade. I use this account as an intermediary between Transferwise and Etrade, and it works.
