Tyrrell's Hand Cooked English Crisps at COOP

Latest news from Coop for the English EF members.

They are now selling Tyrrell's Hand Cooked crisps at the larger Coop stores .

Several flavours:

Sweet chili and red pepper Sea salt and cider vinegar Lightly sea salted Sea salt and cracked black pepper Worcester sauce and sun-dried tomato No details about the pricing in the Coop magazine (where they had the ad).

my day just got a lot better!

Very recently bought a pack of each from the Coop City in Zurich Center (St. Annahof) at CHF 5.90 per pack.

Two packs gone already but then one of my friends is a real crispaholic.

My local Coop has been stocking these for several months now. My waistline does not appreciate the Chili crisps even if my tastebuds love them.

We've had these for a pretty long time even here in Neuchâtel.

You're right it's not good for the waistline. It's probably just as well they don't do a cheese and onion variety as that is my favourite combo or I'd be the size ofa house by now

Of course at that price you need to earn at leat 200 000 chf to be able to afford them on a regular basis

I found them a month ago in our local COOP

Are we talking about an english/american brand here? " Tyrrell's Hand Cooked crisps" Never heard of it, but I am a huge crisps fan so it might be worth it to check it out!

Per the pack I'm looking at right now, they are "Hand Cooked English Crisps". Weight 150g.

Enjoy!

those Tyrell's are great crippies, crisp sandwich anyone? Though, if one happens to shop over the border, especially with the nice exchange rate, good old Kettle Chips are on offer at Edeka. All the usual suspects available, including sea salt and black pepper.

English, if you please.

Actually, the best thing about them is the fact that they wouldn't allow Tesco to sell them.

When the makers were solely potato farmers, Tesco nearly ruined them.

(as they try to do to most small farmers).

Tesco had to back down which is great news for the small producers in the U.K.

Story here

Right now I could murder a packet of roast chicken crisps! Yum!

Tyrell's is to crisps what Bollinger is to Champagne. These are not your average bag of crisps. Try them, you won't regret it.

Why does everyone here knock Tesco. Jesus they are 100 times better than Migros or Coop! They may not be brilliant but they are a hell of a lot better than what we are offered here. Tesco vegetables even stay fresh for days out of the fridge, the crap you get here turns to mould in a few hours!

Tesco cripples small farmers and other producers of quality foodstuffs in the U.K.

Asda (Walmart) does as well. Waitrose doesn't.

In Switzerland Co-op and Migros don't.

And Tesco vegetables taste of nothing. (But as you haven't noticed, you probably don't care).

Can't say the veg here tastes any better!

I rest my case

I saw them for the first time last Saturday . Shame about the price, though...

You may like the taste of mould. I don't

That's why they take people to court for selling too cheap!

You really think the veg in Tescos is the same quality as the veg in the coop.
