Uber, does it exist at all?

Perhaps they can manage to deliver your next take away?

It is Saturday again and I need to go to the village, 1.5km, friend is hurt and cannot walk. And we will drink a lot of beer. Will try the 5th rejection from Uber and then call a cab which is CHF15, Uber says 7.80.

Does Uber really exist or is it just a fancy website and app?

Well, I used one quite recently in St-Julien en Genevois. Had to wait longer than previously maybe 12 minutes. But in the end one showed up and took us to our destination. For less than f20, including tip.

Order a pizza than ask for a lift back to town.

1.5 km should be a walk on the park (and never better said), particularly on the way back, to shake off the cogorza

OK guys, Uber does exist.

A guy named Emil from Bulgaria came to my house exactly at the minute I did order the Uber. He would bring me to the airport for more or less half of what the local taxi driver (who is in holidays) asked me.

I gave him a cash tip of CHF 20 and then the app asked me if I want to give him a tip of CHF 1, 2, or 5. But I suppose they keep part of the tip too…

Now I am in Spain under my air condition waking up from my siesta.

By the way, I did try to reserve my name in Whatsapp: siestamanager, like in telegram. Was not allowed, all names ending in Manager are reserved. So I am now Siestadirector! in whatsapp! (Did not try FredFlintstoneSleeping).

Siestameister?

My full title is “Managing Siesta Director”. So I am OK with @siestadirector in whatsapp and @siestamanager in telegram.

Nice rain finally, but in Spain! Love it, but wonder what will happen when all the water that did evaporate from the sea at this record-level temperatures will come down.

OK, my third attempt to call an Uber in Switzerland did work. Let’s see if the third attempt in Spain will work too. Oh, wait, I have a personal driver here… actually two because my wife is with me at the moment.

We are also in Spain and it’s raining here. We wanted to go to look for a nice spot with an unobstructed sunset view, but it’s cloudy and raining so it doesn’t make sense. Hopefully the skies will be clear on Wednesday evening.
