Well.. I'm looking at my Revolut App right now at a 'Review Transfer' screen (am tempted to add a screen shot but.. not this time) and I can see a note that says 'Recipient gets up to x' (where x is what I'm looking to transfer). It says 'no fees' for the small amount I tested on, but I cannot see anywhere where the currency exchange rate is displayed.
Ah !
Crappy software design
It depends which bit of the app you use. There are 2 ways to send the money. If you pick an destination you have already set up you do not see the same as if you choose 'send international'
So yes you can see the exchange and the fees and they don't look as good as Wise.. but not 'that bad'
It also very much depends on the type of account you have, free one or super douper Metal account
It sounds like you're trying to transfer one currency in Revolut directly to another bank account which is in a different currency. The receiving bank will do the exchange on their own terms. The idea of using such apps is to convert the currency first in the app then transfer it although I know some will allow you to so a "send" to someone and convert it in the process. Revolut has no innut if you transfer say CHF to an external EUR account, as far as I know.
