Unexpected bill

Hi everyone how are you ?

I recently received a bill for 422 Swiss franc my old tenant lost our washing machine card ( the apartment block shares one washing machine)

My tenant who’s now left I broke he’s in 50k debt I let him live with me as he was about to become homeless and I can’t just leave someone in the street.

I will pay for the washing card but 422CHF seems a little crazy the electrical man only was he for a few minutes.

I rent from wincasa and I want to ask them for instalments I only get payed 1000 CHF a month as I’m in a commission job role and can’t afford this bill what can I do?

Have a lovely evening people thank you

ouch. how was that priced out? even at swiss prices, i'd expect only half that.

Still expensive at 400 less.

Tom

I dont know I don’t understand it I only have 80 Swiss franc and that’s to live on I have anorexia so I can get by on that I only eat a banana a day that’s enough to fill me up the rest of my money goes on alcohol.

I’m so upset about it I just don’t understand how my rental company can do this to me

Tell them to piss off.

A new card is CHF 20!

Tom

I have no clue what your talking about

There are certain posts you read.... and you just go "Ahh Justin...."

You beat me to it

Leave me alone your a bully seriously just get a grip your child seriously

You would not have the balls to say that to my face just leave me alone and stop contacting me

I’m trying to use a forum for self help so go away please

A true poster would probably say “who’s Justin?”

And I’m not “contacting you”, merely responding with my thoughts on a public thread!

Really Justin, another one of these "crisis" threads where you claim to make only 1000chf per month and yet house/help people for free, the story and details of which seem to change each time? Sigh.

On the off-chance that the bill part is real, then do as you wrote and ask them to pay in instalments.

If you really are anorexic, I hope you are getting some help. Self help here won’t cut it. Anorexia has the highest death rate of any psychiatric disorder. Take care.

I think it's a good idea to either not respond to (or skip over) posts that bother one, or else to reply - not naively - but with helpful suggestions. In any case, there's no need to be nasty.

"This forum has compassionately helped more than one young (or not so young) person to find their way, and not get into legal trouble, and prevented worse. As I see it, just in case some or all of the muddle and desperation Justin posts is, in one way or another, true, there's no need to risk exacerbating his situation and pushing him over the edge ."

As amogles said, here

Or as ASwissinTheUS said, more forcefully:

https://www.englishforum.ch/3224372-post11.html

"It is quite simple: Whoever it might be and now matter how stubid the question actually is, give a kind and reasonable answer from which others in the future with a similar problem could profit. Refrain from snarky comments ".

Because of the reasoning above , here, again, some of the advice from the other, similar threads:

Caritas is a charity organisation funded partly by the government. It provides advice and counselling in all sorts of matters to do with money, budgeting, debt, contracts, rental, etc. and helps to find ways out of trouble.

How to get help

Just start somewhere and follow through .

I recommend Caritas or the Crisis Intervention Centre

https://www.upk.ch/ueber-uns/klinike...nsstation.html

At all times, 24/7, there is also the 143 "Helping Hand" helpline .

https://www.143.ch/

The offer phonecalls around the clock, and mails and chats.

As always, whenever one approaches any advice centre for help, remember that the first person you speak to might not be able to help, or might not be able to speak the language you need, but you can try again, later, and might reach someone else. It is also often the case that one advice centre can refer one on to another, so it is worth asking around and following those suggestions, until your find the right match for you and your situation.
