Swisscom has a 5 CHF/day max cap with their phone data plans:

...not sure why Sunrise isn't offering something similar? Maybe they will soon.
PS- Don't do any dual-SIM hacking.

Hi irish_marmot,
You need your US SSN in order to buy an iPhone in the US.
But don't tell everybody or Sunrise may yank it. On the other hand, if they're anything like Sprint in the US, they'll let you bend the rules as long as you're paying for it, and the competition won't know what's going on because it's all unofficial. Sprint's unofficial no-harm-no-foul policy toward bluetooth tethering won them lots of customers.
Oh, and also if you want to get Skype, Furk, Simplify, etc working over 3G, get voIPover3G from Cydia. Naturally you have to be Jailbroken for this.
Oh, and I haven't tried MMS yet. But I don't really care so much about that.
Regarding the 7.50fr/250MB, either you can't add that to the Flat Max because it's already part of it, or they've stopped offering it. I think it's still in there though, for the plans without a data package.
However, about the original question in this thread, it wasn't about adding data to voice, it was about a data-only plan, which is only supposed to work in a USB modem on a laptop. It's not supposed to work in the iPhone (meaning they'll tell you it doesn't work), but it does. And it has a whopping 10GB throttled cap, as opposed to other data plans' 1GB cap. This is what we were trying to figure out here. Not only does it work, but you can make voice calls (which they'll tell you definitely doesn't work no way no how). So given that, this is the first voice plan with unlimited data in all Switzerland (actually Swisscom has one now- for 169fr/mo with a 2GB cap). And if you're like me, and hardly ever make calls, it's perfect. Oh, and Skype and other VoIP is also possible.
I have an iphone 3G, recently bought and was unlocked. I have a Sunrise Sim card inside that was working fine, but suddenly the iphone is unable to locate the network - though seems to recognize the Sim card.
Can anyone help me fix this?
is back (or within seconds afterwords).
If you are away from the Sunrise network, then allow automatic network
selection, but be warned that you may incur international roaming costs.
I think you can have the network selection set to Automatic and still have international data roaming off, but on Sunrise it's best to leave data off anyway. Just make sure you notice if roaming is on before calling.
I have a locked iPhone with Surnise till Feb 2013. I had to move out from Switzerland and now I don't know what to do with it. Does anybody can help me to unlock it?Is anybody interested to have it within Switzerland? I have the Sunrise flat classic surf.
