Unwaxed Citrus - Where to find?

I'm looking for unwaxed (and organic) limes and lemons.

That said, all I can find are "organic" (bio), but not unwaxed.

Any idea where I can find unwaxed citrus fruits? I need to use the skin...

Try a proper bio shop rather than Migros or coop .

And if they don’t have them on the shelf any self respecting bio shop should be able to procure them .

Grow them yourself !

I do... but the summer this year has been cr@p... so only got 2 lemons from 6 plants!

I'm sorry, I don't have anything smart to add. But I misread the title as "Unvaxed Citrus" and , how far have we come?

According to Coop personnel, (their?) Havelaar lemons are unwaxed. Given how squeaky they are I take that at face value.

I use Amalfi lemons ... a bit expensive, but worth it. You can get them at Globus grocery or during the season, at most larger Coops/Migros.

Bio shops are great too ... good luck!

Migros in Schwamendingerplatz has them, as other large-ish migros. Look for „ zitronen schale zum verzehr geeignet“ or similar. Three days ago they had them ... from Southafrica

Those from Southern Europe probably take another month to ripen.

Lemons ripen pretty much independently of the season, especially older and larger trees will typically and at any time have lemons at all different stages of development.
