That's it: US Citizen, Permit C in CH, residing in Zürich, and US company wants to hire me.
They have some EU agent company to act as an intermediate to hire European residents (not sure if they are EU or CH). Or in theory they can hire me directly paying salary to my US bank account.
Wondering if any of the cases would be bad for maintaining my permit C (need to renew next year):
1. Direct hire from US, salary goes to US bank.
2. Hire through EU agent, salary goes to CH bank.
3. Hire through CH agent, salary goes to CH bank.
I realize no one here is an expert, but opinions are appreciated.

Taking foreign income exclusion and credit into consideration, door number 3 would be your best bet.

Would check with your Swiss bank whether they’d be happy or not, that would be more of a concern than the permit side of things.
From Swiss point of view:
In all of the above cases the income is normally taxable as part of your worldwide income. No difference from there.

3 can makes simpler, as not only social security is paid, but also accident insurance, and pillar 2 is sorted out.
From permit side it is a non issue. Specially as you have permit C, but even with permit B it would be not a big problem.
