Using your flat rented apartment as the gmbh adress.

Hi guys,

Is this possible & a good idea?

I've seen some people do it and it might look less professional, but that doesn't bother me now if I can save money.

What do you think?

Thanks.

It works fine. But you need to grant a domicile to your business from your personal address. If you live in a rented place, that may cause issues with your contract being only for residential purposes etc.

If you want to domicile your business in Zug, DM me as I have a business premises and can grant you a business address there for a low fee, forward the post etc.

Take a look in coworking offices, some of them offer adress and mail handling for ~50 CHF per month.

Do you have any examples of this in Zürich please?

You cannot register a GmbH in a co-working office !

Their is absolutely no problem registering a GmbH at your residential address, a lot of people do it and why does it look less professional ? An address is an address, you put company name on letter box !

What states that you can not register a company in a coworking office? Some of them offer "virtual office" packs with company registered address use possibility. Literally from the first few google hits.

No need to groan on someone who offers an alternative solution...

This co-working organization offers a company address with postbox under its Starter package for Fr. 145 per month plus Fr. 50 for one-time company registration:

This domicile company in Zurich offers a company address with post forwarding under its Standard package for Fr. 84 per month:

The OP was looking to save money.......

Still you spread misinformation about companies not being able to use adresses provided by co-working offices.

....no, not really

The guy wants something professional and cheap a "co-working" office, that hardly fits the bill.

But I'm absolutely convinced you know best

Do you have any experience wiht co-working places? They also offer private rooms, i.e. offices, not just open spaces with co-working desks. Private room is a bit more expensive but actually much cheaper than renting an office.

A coworking OFFICE space address is more professional imo, as you know, there are working professionals and is a place of work and not a home. I don`t think you ever were in one, else you would know how they work and what possibilities there are.

You are right about the cheapness at your home, but also if the OP has a thought of it not being that professional, this might be a good fit.

Although, if the OP's business is making specialty cupcakes or novelty socks or doing voice recordings for an advertising company, or coaching burnt out and emotional bankers, the "coworking OFFICE space" people might have something to say about it...

Everyone is assuming the OP has a business that involves quietly sitting at a laptop crunching the keyboard and making the occasional phone call.

Oh thank you for that comment. I was not thinking about it, you are very right.

Not sure about that, and it depends on your target audience. For some, the homemade look can add charm, while others prefer a more professional image. Consider your brand and audience when deciding.

Of course. I shouldn't invite customers at home, but for the developing phase should be enough.
