Hi all, I just set up my company in Switzerland which is fully operating, including bank account.
However, I am struggling to find the best virtual phone service.
As I am not resident yet (I'll move there in a couple of years) I am looking for a virtual phone number that:
- can receive SMS
- has a number that looks a real local number
Even if I fly there, but I am not resident, I don't think I will get any better then a tourist phone number that usually expires after a while.
Anyone tried SONETEL? RINGOVER? or any other to recommend? Thanks

why can't you just purchase a normal swiss number and use it with roaming for receiving calls and smss and then call with a local one?

Because I am not physically in Switzerland now.
I guess I have to show up to buy a phone number, right? Don't they need my passport or documents?
If not, please recommend the best company.
A 'traditional' number, let's say a mobile one, needs a sim card and an extra phone and calls would be usually very expensive, even just to receive.
That's why a virtual number I believe to be easier to handle, but what provider?
thanks
You may get some inspiration by searching for voip in this forum. https://www.englishforum.ch/search2.php?q=voip
People here may get unhappy by their Swiss phone number providers, especially combined with an internet connection. You don’t have to use a Swiss solution. Some virtual number service provider offer Swiss phone number. I use VOIP virtual number. I will take this time to ask myself why I’m still using a Swisscom SIM.
