Where do you buy your computer in Switzerland?

and manor! dudes, i'm just teasing a bit!

But don't forget thats how the Mac users have to upgrade their machines any decent amount; by buying new ones LOL

i've got a new laptop after 7 years of using my titanium powerbook (which in fact is still operative as a homework computer)! how many PC upgrades have you gone through in this time?...let me guess...20? maybe this is a theme for new thread. MAC or PC?

have to agree with Zombie, I bought my powerbook two and a half years ago, my husband bought a new laptop a year and a half ago and now needs a new one due to the screen not working and too slow, mine? still running smoothly, infact he has been seriously considering getting a Mac as a replacement especially since he saw this http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

if he puts windows on his mac, in 11⁄2 years it'll be slow again

reason? The windows user "model" where everyone is admin by default means your system gets clogged much quicker. My machines at home never get slower as nobody has admin rights....

hehe, I knew my comment would bring the zealots out A PC vs MAC thread is so pointless, you would have to pick a PC manufacturer, unless you want to compare hardware or OS/Software only.

And then again you would be preaching to the choir, I would also recommend Mac to first time and beginner computer users. Tight hardware/software integration, more intuitive OS.

I personally think he would be committing a crime if he put windows on a Mac!! and I have told him if anyone is getting a Mac Book Pro then its me and it will NOT be running windows

Only if stuff is installed (ooh, nice Google toolbar ), or IE does a drive-by download, or "Please let me know when Real Player updates are available"...

I was having the same problem as most of you. Well since I don't speak German, and the French are so slow to get stuff done, I opened my own company. We cater to English speakers, deliver and setup what we build for free, and guarantee it all for 12 months. Check us out! www.pcdesigns.ch . If you ever need help or simple advice, we'll get it done for you.
