But what I like doing is experimenting and buying the cheese you want. A 2 person fondue needs about 400g of cheese, so 2x 200 g. The pre cut mixes are 10 to 20 chuffs for a 2 person fondue. So you can see for the same money and 5 minutes of your time cutting the cheese you can have some really good quality cheese.
Just as an example of experiments that I thought worked really well for me. I had a wasabi cheese in the mix (it was for Halloween), I have done a 3 cheese mix and included a soft cheese. I usually mix in some fried chilies and mushrooms.
