He was reached by https://avu.wine/ , is that trustful?
A friend of mine like to buy some luxury wine for gifting. He is located in Asia and wonders if there is any authentic website to buy luxury wine and deliver it to Asia. Thanks a lot
Fu@&@ng skimmer site. Go to Aldi.
Its a well established wine merchant with a large stock and operation.
Wine is delicate. Better to taste what's available from local wine merchants since it has already stabilized after presumably being carefully transported and stored.
The idea of buying here and getting delivered may be tempting. However, unless the whole transport is temperature controlled, there's always the risk that a truck is parked under the sun at any given time and bye bye luxury wine. Economies of scale make this possible for a wine merchant paying for a temperature controlled container, for smaller orders it may be possible but unreasonably expensive.
Appreciate the advice. It's quite a challenge to buy authentic wine in some Asian countries due to the scammers, faked brands etc... Nowadays, it's still difficult to travel to EU in person so that's why they have to consider buying online...
kidding or serious? thanks
The company in question has several 100k bottles... including a massive storage in China.
I am generally not a huge wine lover but i have tried a number of Very expensive ones. Yeah, Slammer is right - go to Aldi.
Serious, got a redirect to a site that did not load and now I have had four calls from „Interpol“
MIssed that part, I just read something in their website that said "warehouses in CH, UK, Spain and France". If they have a warehouse in China too, I guess problem solved.
Back to LakeLeman concern about trust, completely outside of my budget, so no experience. But they're on the news, they do exist https://www.handelszeitung.ch/bilanz...e-flasche-wein
Thats interesting - their website doesnt mention it anymore. I know they used to have one in China... maybe that didnt work out too well...
"Go to Aldi" for luxury wine? lol
WORST ADVICE EVER
Well then pray; what is it that makes a „luxury wine“ luxurious?
If you need us to answer that for you, carry on with Aldi, that's just fine for you, anything else would be wasted
to be clear, it's not for me or through me. But an oversea buyer wants to buy luxury wine for gifting purposes. There are full of scammers and faked products in his place, so he chose to buy from a Swiss wine dealer online. I cannot verify the authenticity of that company, it's out of my circle.
I would wager a 4.95€ bottle of Aldi Plonk that you won’t be able to tell the difference.
No doubt your right Slammer, but you sure you can go to such excesses ?
Can you actually buy wine at the this price ?
The Platinum Membership looks best value but sadly “On Invitation only”.
IMVHO Avoid
That ́s the wine I buy when I am feeling extravagant and it ́s the first and I just got paid.
Now you are just being arrogant.
